Kicking Off the Government Contracting New Year! 

Issues and Procurements that Matter in FY 2018

Join your National Contract Management Association (“NCMA”) Boston friends and colleagues as we kick-off the new program year with a cocktail hour and lively discussion about key issues that could impact Government contractors this fiscal year!  Stop by for a drink after work to engage with our speakers from U.S. Government and Industry advisory roles.  Light Dinner and Hors D’Oeuvres will be served

Speakers include:

  • Mark Dostal, National Government Contracts, PwC Advisory.  As a Director with PwC’s National Government Contracts practice, Mr. Dostal has over 36 years of extensive and diversified experience in Government contract consulting, accounting, and auditing.
  • Daniel Kelly, Government Contracts, McCarter & English.  As a Partner in McCarter’s Government Contracts practice, Mr. Kelly brings over 30 years of experience in counseling and acting as an advocate on behalf of clients doing business in the Government marketplace.
  • David Dudley, Chief of Contracting, Theater Battle Control Division Hansom AFB.  Mr. Dudley is the Chief of Contracting for the Theater Battle Control Division and oversees the lifecycle acquisition of a portfolio of programs that provide worldwide communications, Battle Management (BM), Command and Control (C2), and Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) systems to the warfighter.
  • Brian Ruhm, Chief, Program Execution Group, Battle Management Directorate, Hansom AFB.  Mr. Ruhm supervises reporting, policy compliance, and execution planning for a  portfolio comprised of 250+ programs valued at more than $20 Billion.

 

The evening will address exciting developments, including:

  • Procurement Practices, such as the use of LPTAs, preferences for performance based contract payments, and misconceptions of the Buy American Act.
  • Accounting and Auditing Updates, such as Defense Cost Accounting Standards, performance of incurred cost audits, and third party audits.
  • Information Technology and Intellectual Property, with a focus on technical data.
  • Commercial Items, such as non-traditional contractors and Defense innovation and commercial procurements through online marketplaces.
  • And most importantly, a review of FY 2018 Battle Management portfolio of business opportunities from Hanscom Air Force Base.

 

Cost: $25 NCMA Member / Government; $30 Non-Members
